Highlights of Sikkim and Darjeeling

Route : Darjeeling-Gangtok-Ravangla-Yuksum-Pelling-Rinchenpong

Day 1: Arrive at Bagdogra or NJP, you will be met upon arrival and driven to Darjeeling (3 hours), evening at leisure.

Day 2: After breakfast  we leave for sightseeing around Darjeeling, the day includes a visit to Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop (a marvel of railway engineering), Tea Gardens, Himalayan Mountaineering Training Institute, the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre, the Zoological Park and the Oxford book shop (Chowrasta) . There is plenty to see and enjoy around Darjeeling. Evening at leisure for you to explore the town by foot.

Day 3: A very early morning start to get a panoramic view of the Himalaya mountain from the top of the nearby Tiger Hill as the dawn breaks. Return to the hotel for breakfast and then check out and leave for a 4 hour (approx.) drive to Gangtok (Sikkim), evening at leisure to explore MG Marg and nearby places if you are upto it.

Day 4: After breakfast we leave for a full day local sightseeing in Gangtok and it’s vicinity starting with Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Enchey Monastery, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology and Rumtek which is about an hours drive out of Gangtok.

Day 5 : Depart after breakfast to Ravangla (West Sikkim ) via Temi Tea Garden to Namchi -Samdruptse -Siddesvar Dhaam (optional)

Day 6: After breakfast we shall visit Buddha Park and have a leisurely tour of the town and head to Yuksum via Tashiding

Day 7: After an early breakfast we depart from Yuksum to Pelling visiting Khecheopalri Lake- Rabdentse ruins-Pemayantse monastery

Overnight at the hotel

Day 8: After breakfast drive from Pelling to Rinchenpong via Sing Shore bridge, rest of the day at leisure for other activities such as bird watching and exploring the town.

Day 9: Depart from Rinchenpong to Bagdogra/NJP
